ICON Insights Evidence & Value (IEV) is part of ICON plc, a leading global Clinical Research Organization headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. Our group undertakes consultancy projects for international clients in both the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors, supporting late-phase clinical trials. The Project Manager will work on multiple projects focusing across different areas from market access, health economics, epidemiology & data analytics, health technology assessment & value communications and Patient Reported Outcomes. Our team is based in several countries such as US, UK, Brazil, Canada, Germany, France, Spain.
Role overview:As a Project Manager you will be expected to contribute towards a culture of business excellence with a focus on quality, scope, timelines adding value to the business and exceeding client expectations. You will be involved at the forefront of innovation and drive delivery using your project leadership expertise. Delivering successful working relationships with clients, cross functional project planning, scheduling, and implementation, defining project scope, resource requirements and deliverables, risk mitigation strategies, associated action plan and issue resolution and budget management.
You will also work in matrix teams on global international projects and be responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, and completion of regional/global cross functional projects, as well as provide expert project management input into new business proposals and bid-defence meetings.
What you will need:- 3-5 years' work experience within a CRO, central laboratory environment OR extensive clinical laboratory experience
- Have a Degree in a Life Sciences, HEOR, Epidemiology, Business, Statistics, Economics, Project Management or related discipline
- Strong communication, planning, decision-making, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills
- Customer focussed with the ability to build excellent rapport with business partners
- Comfortable with presenting to internal groups and external clients
- Highly organised and remains calm in taking care of multiple priorities and working to tight deadlines
- Passionate about developing a career within Project Management.
- Passionate about Process Improvement and looking for ways to increase project management efficiencies
- Fluency in English both orally and in writing, with excellent communication skills
- Quality and detail-oriented
- Strong organization and multitasking skills
- Strong team player in a multi-cultural environment
- Master-level skills in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Proven ability in project planning, resource and risk management
- Ability to tailor project planning tools to meet client needs and research (or project) strategy
- Demonstrable ability to work independently and lead complex projects
- Ability to clearly present instructions, negotiate pricing and address issues with suppliers and internal and external stakeholders on a global scale
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work autonomously and manage aggressive delivery schedules
- Anticipate and respond to client and/or project needs without prompting
- Ability to identify action necessary to achieve goals and targets
- Consistently reliable in delivering time sensitive demands and ongoing commitments with minimal supervision
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industry
- Knowledge of IRB/Ethics committees
- Knowledge of data privacy, transparency/Sunshine Act
- Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
- Understanding of different project management methodologies i.e. Agile vs PMBoK
