Project Manager Land and Asset Transfer

The opportunityWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to coordinate the property, legal, and stakeholder activities required to support the transfer of strategic energy infrastructure assets into operational ownership. The role is within the asset transfer team which operates within the broader connection projects team of the transmission system operator (TSO). This team is tasked with transferring ownership of contestably built high-voltage grid assets to the transmission asset owner (TAO).
You'll Be Responsible For Asset transfer project management- Manage a portfolio of projects from early development and customer engagement through to energisation, asset transfer and final handover to the Transmission Asset Owner.
- Develop and maintain project plans, trackers, and reporting mechanisms to monitor progress.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Drive timely completion of transfer activities and achievement of programme milestones.
- Coordinate the review of property documentation associated with asset transfers.
- Support the verification of land ownership, land rights, easements, wayleaves, leases, and other property interests.
- Liaise with legal and property advisors to ensure all transfer requirements are satisfied.
- Support the registration and maintenance of property records associated with transferred assets.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, consultants, legal representatives, and internal stakeholders.
- Chair and coordinate regular project meetings.
- Build effective relationships across multiple disciplines to facilitate successful project outcomes.
- Provide clear reporting on project status, risks, and key decisions.
- Ensure property, asset, and project information is maintained accurately and consistently.
- Review customer-supplied mapping and spatial information to support asset transfer activities.
- Work with GIS and mapping specialists to verify and manage spatial datasets.
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of asset transfer records and processes.
- You will be a highly organised project professional with experience managing property, land, infrastructure, asset management, or legal transaction activities.
- You will have the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and drive projects through to successful completion.
- Experience managing projects within property, infrastructure, utilities, engineering, asset management, or related sectors.
- Understanding of land ownership, property rights, legal documentation, or land registration processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience coordinating activities involving multiple internal and external parties.
- Ability to analyse documentation, identify issues, and drive resolution.
- Strong organisational and reporting capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Qualification In Property, Estate Management, Land Surveying, Real Estate, Planning, Geography, GIS, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with infrastructure projects, particularly within utilities or energy sectors.
- Knowledge of Tailte Éireann registration processes.
- Experience using GIS platforms, including ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Pro.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings.
- Understanding of asset management principles and infrastructure handover processes.
