Service area: Infrastructure and Facilities

A vacancy exists within the award winning Building Design Group for an ambitious Project Manager to work within the Project Management Team to manage and deliver the Council's major construction projects within it's capital programme .

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate a high level of competence in all aspects of the role and also be able to demonstrate a collaborative approach to problem solving as well as excellent communication skills as the role involves dealing with clients, contractors and project teams. And for this person we are able to offer excellent training opportunities and a blended working pattern.

Typical duties would include the project management of both consultants and contractors in the delivery of schemes such as social housing, renewable energy, corporate accommodation and leisure facilities.

Every day is different - you could be on site working with our contractors to resolve problems or monitoring progress, consulting on proposed schemes with members of the public, presenting to senior management, or working with your design team to identify the best solution to an issue.
