Construction Project Manager

Location: Edinburgh
Contract Length: 12-month initial contract
Rate: £314 per day (Inside IR35)
Working Pattern: Flexible, 35 hours per week

Overview

Lorien are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to deliver project management and contract administration services on high-value and/or complex new build, refurbishment, and maintenance construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered to agreed time, cost, and quality requirements within a complex operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end project management and contract administration across multiple construction projects.
• Prepare and compile accurate contract documentation.
• Manage consultants and contractors to ensure value for money and successful project delivery.
• Coordinate technical specialists and stakeholders to define requirements and ensure compliance with legislative standards.
• Produce project reporting including progress, cost, design reviews, inspections, audits, and defect management.
• Review contractor and consultant submissions and prepare approval and decision papers as required.
• Support other project managers with briefs, specifications, tender assessments, inspections, and commissioning.
• Mentor project management resources and manage Assistant Project Managers where applicable.

Essential Requirements

• Honours Degree or Master's Degree in a construction-related discipline.
• Chartered status, or working towards Chartered status, with a relevant professional body.
• Extensive postgraduate experience delivering complex or high-value construction projects across multi-site or operational environments.
• Strong experience in contract management, technical documentation, design reviews, inspections, and defect analysis.
