Overview:

Our client, a leading main contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Wexford. The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership, management and delivery of civil engineering projects from planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the overall delivery of civil engineering projects
• Provide operational, strategic and contractual direction to the project team
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, clients and key stakeholders
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, to programme, budget and required quality standards
• Manage project programmes, cost control, financial reporting and commercial performance
• Ensure method statements, activity plans and risk assessments are prepared, reviewed and maintained
• Drive high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental performance across the project

Requirements:

• Degree, HND in Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Agent within civil engineering contracting
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Detailed knowledge of civil construction and relevant forms of contract
• Experience delivering projects and managing large construction teams
• Knowledge and experience of bridge construction
• Rail experience is preferred
