Shape the Future of LNG with VTTI
Are you an experienced energy infrastructure professional ready to lead high-impact projects in a global environment? VTTI, a leader in independent energy storage and infrastructure, is looking for a Project Development Manager to drive the development of our next generation of LNG import terminals with a strong focus on FSRU-based solutions. This is your chance to make a tangible impact on the energy transition while working in an ambitious, international, and purpose-driven company.
Why Choose VTTI?
At VTTI, we are fueled by our purpose: Energy to Move Tomorrow. We operate a growing network of energy infrastructure across the globe and are committed to providing safe, reliable, and sustainable energy access. Our core values - Passion, Agility, Integrity, Connection, and Care - shape our inclusive and forward-thinking culture.
With operations in over 15 countries and recent investments in LNG infrastructure, such as Adriatic LNG in Italy and Dragon LNG in the UK, we're expanding our presence in the LNG space to support the global shift toward cleaner energy.
Your Role as Project Development Manager
As Project Development Manager, you will take the lead in shaping and executing complex LNG import terminal projects. Reporting to the Director of Projects, you will be responsible for managing the development lifecycle from pre-concept and feasibility to Final Investment Decision (FID). You'll collaborate with a wide network of internal and external stakeholders, including engineering partners, regulatory bodies, and commercial teams.
This role offers a strategic and technical challenge in an international setting, combining business development, engineering oversight, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead LNG/FSRU projects through all development phases: pre-concept, (pre-)FEED, permitting, and up to FID.
- Coordinate internal and external engineering teams to deliver robust project designs.
- Define project deliverables, budgets, timelines, and risk assessments.
- Develop execution and procurement strategies in line with VTTI standards and HSE requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders: port authorities, regulators, co-developers, shipyards, and EPC contractors.
- Represent VTTI at industry forums and act as a technical ambassador for LNG.
- Ensure transparency, compliance, and strong governance throughout the project lifecycle.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a driven and strategic project leader with a solid technical foundation and a passion for sustainable energy. You bring international experience and have successfully led large-scale infrastructure projects from concept to execution.
Your Profile
- 12+ years of relevant experience in energy infrastructure, especially LNG and FSRU-based projects.
- Master's degree in Process, Chemical, Mechanical, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record in project management, engineering, and business development.
- Broad knowledge of the LNG value chain, industry regulations, and risk management frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable leading multicultural teams and mentoring junior professionals.
- Willingness to travel internationally based on project needs.
- Fluent in English.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary with performance-based incentives.
- 27 days of annual leave.
- Lease car or mobility allowance.
- Flexible, hybrid working model.
- An international, dynamic work environment with room for initiative and impact.
- A flat organizational structure with direct access to leadership.
- Opportunities for development and long-term career growth within the energy transition.
