About The Role

The MEP Lead is responsible and accountable for the safe, commercially successful, and timely delivery of assigned projects from estimating handover through to final completion and client sign-off. The role manages the project lifecycle including design management, procurement strategy, programme delivery, commercial performance, stakeholder engagement, and project governance. The MEP Lead will lead the project team including Assistant Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors, and the wider supply chain to ensure alignment with company standards, contractual obligations, and client expectations.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering complex construction or engineering projects.

  • Data Centre / Critical Facilities experience required.

  • Electrical relevant qualifications.

  • Mechanical knowledge desirable.

  • SMSTS.

  • CSCS Managers Card.

  • NVQ Level 6 Construction Site Management or equivalent.

  • Developandmaintainprocurementschedulealignedwithprogrammemilestones.

  • Leadprocurementofsubcontractorpackagesandmajorequipment.

  • Reviewandapprovesubcontractorandsupplierquotations.

  • Negotiatecommercialtermstoachievebestvalueprocurement.

  • SupportQSwithvaluations,costreportingandforecasting.

  • Leadvariationidentification,justificationandsubmissiontotheclient.

  • Monitorprojectcostperformanceandlabourallocation.

  • Protectprojectmarginandmanagecommercialrisk.

  • Maintainaccurateprojectdocumentationandreportingsystems.

  • Managepracticalcompletionandclientsign-offprocess.

  • Managesubcontractorperformanceandsupplychainrelationships.

  • Supportbusinessdevelopmentactivitiesincludingclientengagementandtendersupport.

  • Leadestimatinghandovermeetingsandreviewalltenderinformation.

  • Obtaindetailedunderstandingofprojectscope,specifications,ERsandcommercialallowances.

  • ManagetheRFIprocessanddesignclarifications.

  • Coordinatewiththedesignteamtoensurealldesigndeliverablesalignwithprogrammerequirements.

  • Reviewtechnicalsubmittalsandmanageapprovalprocesswiththeclientteam.
