About the RoleWe are seeking a talented and proven Project Manager to join our growing team at a leading Civil Engineering contractor. This is a project-based role focused on a mixed-use development project in Guildford, which includes both greenfield and brownfield elements and is scheduled to run until the summer of 2026.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of this project, managing all aspects from planning and execution to completion. With a keen eye for detail and strong leadership skills, you will drive the project forward while adhering to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Oversee and lead the delivery of the mixed-use development project in Guildford.
- Contract Management: Manage NEC contracts effectively, ensuring compliance and resolving contractual issues.
- Team Management: Build, manage, and motivate project teams to achieve success.
- Budget & Schedule Control: Ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, maintaining strong communication throughout the project.
- Health & Safety: Promote and enforce a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental compliance on-site.
- Proven Experience: Demonstrable success as a Project Manager on civil engineering projects, particularly in groundwork and earthwork developments.
- NEC Expertise: Comprehensive understanding and practical experience in managing NEC contracts.
- Sector Knowledge: Experience in civil engineering projects across healthcare, mixed-use developments, residential, and commercial sectors.
- Leadership Skills: A track record of effectively leading and managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Location: Ability to be based in or travel to Guildford for the duration of the project.
