At DCC, we're at the heart of transforming the UK's energy infrastructure by delivering a smarter, greener, and more efficient energy system. We're expanding our Service Delivery function and are looking for experienced and dynamic Project Managers to play a critical role in our next phase of growth and evolution.

As a Project Manager within Service Delivery, you'll be leading the delivery of complex, multi-million-pound projects within DCC's evolving Design, Build, Run (DBR) operating model. You'll manage multi-disciplinary project teams in a matrix environment, working closely with third-party service providers, internal SMEs, and external stakeholders including Government and regulatory bodies.

You'll report into a Programme Manager and take end-to-end ownership for the planning, execution, and successful transition of changes into live operations across the UK's smart metering ecosystem.

What will you be doing?

• Leading complex projects with budgets exceeding £30m and delivery timelines over 3 years
• Defining scope, deliverables, and project plans aligned with DCC's governance and frameworks
• Managing risks, issues, resources, and project activities day-to-day
• Handling supplier performance, contract management, and commercial obligations
• Ensuring smooth transition to deployment and operations
• Delivering timely and accurate stakeholder communication, reporting, and governance updates
• Driving quality assurance, compliance, and project performance
• Deputising for Programme Managers when required
• Supporting the development of our growing Service Delivery function

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years of proven project management experience in large-scale, high-risk technical programmes
• Experience managing third-party suppliers and integration into live operations
• Strong stakeholder management - including with Government, regulators, and customer groups
• Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams in a matrix environment
• Experience in managing underperformance and complex interpersonal dynamics
• Advanced proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Clear and confident communicator with strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Experience in network-based projects or the UK energy market
• Knowledge of operational platforms and customer service processes
