Technical Project Manager - Data Centre Projects (Cabling & Migrations)

The Opportunity:

A growing infrastructure services provider is looking for a Technical Project Manager with hands-on experience in delivering complex data centre projects. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and are confident leading structured cabling deployments and hardware migrations from start to finish, this is your chance to step into a key leadership role.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Own and deliver full life cycle projects across data centre cabling infrastructure and server/network migrations
• Build detailed project plans, schedules, and resource requirements
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders across technical workstreams
• Oversee implementation of structured cabling (copper & fibre), ensuring it meets spec and industry best practices
• Lead the execution of hardware migrations with minimal business impact
• Monitor risks, milestones, and deliverables - keeping stakeholders informed throughout
• Ensure accurate completion of project documentation, including test results and as-built drawings
• Champion H&S and security compliance across all phases of work

What You'll Bring:

• Proven track record in delivering technical projects in live data centre environments
• Strong working knowledge of structured cabling systems, cable containment, patching standards, and rack layouts
• Experience managing server, storage, and network equipment migrations
• Confident handling multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - both technical and non-technical audiences
• Familiarity with standards such as TIA/EIA, BICSI, and Uptime Institute Tier Guidelines
• Proficiency in tools like MS Project, Jira, or similar
