Project Manager

A long-established construction company with a strong reputation for delivering successful projects across a range of sectors-including data centres, commercial, residential, and education-is seeking to recruit an experienced Project Manager. The position is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, with potential assignments in other Northern European countries. The company specialises in interior fit out services, including office interiors, drylining, ceilings, and partitions-primarily for commercial and data centre environments.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Applicants should bring proven experience in project management or a closely related role such as senior engineer, project engineer, or construction manager, particularly within large-scale interior fit out projects. Specific experience with drylining, ceilings, and partitions is essential, and data centre project experience is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project delivery from inception through completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations and coordinate subcontractors and vendors.
• Monitor and control budgets, project costs, and procurement schedules.
• Liaise with clients, capturing project requirements and offering design/material input.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, health and safety standards, and project specifications.
• Manage contract resources including hiring and coordination of architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with design professionals to resolve project-related technical issues.
• Lead all aspects of interior fit out delivery including materials planning, labour scheduling, and cost control.
• Act as primary point of contact for clients throughout all phases of the project.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 8 years' experience in the construction industry, with substantial time spent in project management or an equivalent leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex fit out projects, ideally in commercial or data centre environments.
• Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven ability to manage project scope, budget, and schedule effectively.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
