Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee, streamline and manage our projects from concept to completion.
This role bridges creative vision and operational execution - managing project timelines, budgets, and responsibility for delivering high quality projects alongside management of client relationships (from presentations to reporting), and cross-functional teams to ensure our projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with exceptional quality.
This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, project management expertise, budget management, team management, and a passion for delivery and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the management and coordination of multiple public art and placemaking projects simultaneously, ensuring timeline and deliverables are met.
- Develop statements of work, proposals, client-facing presentations.
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines, including deadlines for approval, confirmation, fabrication, production - ensuring milestones are met.
- Manage administrative deliverables for projects incl. agreements, estimates, invoices.
- Build and manage strong professional relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, communicating project progress and updates.
- Work across the team (including co-founders, creative producers / curators, strategist, project administrator and social media) to ensure adherence to project timelines and delivery.
- Identify and resolve issues that arise during projects, finding creative solutions and streamlined approaches.
- Onsite project management and delivery, including oversight of fabrication, quality control, artist and supplier compliance with H&S, installation and deinstallation.
- Coordinate with artists, suppliers, fabricators, and community members.
- Oversee project budgets, cost tracking and reconciliation.
- Track project metrics, preparing reports and documentation for internal and external use.
- Ensure all work aligns with New Public's values of inclusivity, innovation, and cultural impact.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in project management or account management, ideally within arts, culture / events, design, or urban development.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and diverse stakeholders.
- Flexible, proactive, ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines if needed, while retaining a level of calm.
- Passion for public art, placemaking, and community engagement.
