Project Manager - UK Wide - Circa £45k pa plus car plus benefits

Working as part of the transition team to deliver a variety of projects within this market leading company. The primary focus will be on project managing small and large scale print and related services, digital mailrooms, and large scanning opportunities. This role is a lead position responsible for project delivery from inception to service commencement and involves participation in the sales process for large bids.
Key Tasks- Engagement on large bids at the sales stage to support the sales team with transition documents and plans, including face to face discussions and meetings with clients and their employees.
- Delivery of projects from pre contract award, including project plans, specifications, and roadmaps. The Project Manager must present information simply to achieve outcomes.
- Establishment of project governance with the customer and creation of supporting documentation.
- Understanding and questioning briefs and SOWs to map key deliveries, milestones, etc. in plans, documenting and collating information, and obtaining client approvals.
- Creation of high level and detailed plans in consultation with internal and external specialists, clients, etc., and reporting against these plans.
- Active management of documented solutions, ensuring coordination of contributions and mapping to achieve outcomes (e.g., Operations, Development, third parties - BT, IT, Software suppliers).
- Project planning and resource shortfall analysis across multiple departments.
- Support or drive testing development, scripts, and performance of testing to deliver working solutions.
- Operational readiness management for go live, working with Operations and the client to balance risk against revenue.
- Risk management.
- Change management.
- Identification of new areas for improvement in delivery/solutions.
- Support on face to face client meetings as required, including data gathering and writing documents for requirements, solutions, service agreements, training material, and service levels.
- Management of the customer to ensure the client delivers a working service within budget and timescales, recognising when to escalate issues or slippage.
- Other ad hoc work as required; the role demands flexibility and willingness to undertake duties that support the team.
- Understanding of the commercial impact of requirements, risks, and changes on the business model.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering results on projects.
- Experience working across different clients and business sectors.
- Self starter who can work independently.
- Willingness to work beyond standard project management duties to achieve results - an ownership role that requires business insight.
- Ability to facilitate the client and organisation in prompt decision making, focusing on risks, dependencies, and preferred outcomes.
- Open and honest communication style, dealing with conflict to achieve desired outcomes.
- Comfortable reviewing solutions and providing objective feedback on concepts and designs.
- Strong written communication skills for client facing documents, requirements, training, and stakeholder presentations.
- Willingness to travel nationwide, including overnight stays, as required.
The candidate must be Prince 2 certified and possess a general understanding of IT, including databases, SQL, and tables. Extensive travel throughout the UK will be required.
