Chapman Tate Associates is proud to be working in exclusive partnership with a leading retailer as they embark on a key cybersecurity initiative. We are currently seeking an experienced PKI Project Manager to join their team and take ownership of end-to-end Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and certificate lifecycle management projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a contract project leader with deep technical expertise in PKI and security certificate infrastructure to deliver mission-critical initiatives in a high-impact retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise-level PKI and certificate lifecycle management projects from initiation through to delivery.
- Oversee the implementation of certificate management tools and solutions.
- Ensure alignment with cybersecurity standards, governance policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage detailed project roadmaps, delivery timelines, and milestone tracking.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate certificate management into existing infrastructure and processes.
- Act as a key liaison in managing RFP processes, vendor engagement, and deliverables.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Report on project progress to internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity, transparency, and accountability.
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience managing PKI and certificate lifecycle management projects.
- Strong understanding of TLS/SSL, cryptographic certificates, and digital identity management.
- Hands-on experience with certificate lifecycle management tools (e.g., Venafi, DigiCert, Keyfactor).
- Ability to lead cybersecurity initiatives and drive project execution across technical and business teams.
- Familiarity with enterprise IT environments and secure integration practices.
- Strong project governance and stakeholder management capabilities.
Desirable Experience:
- Exposure to cryptographic key management and protocols (RSA, ECC, AES, SHA-2, etc.).
- Ability to act as a bridge between technical IT teams, IAM, and business stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills - able to translate complex technical topics into clear business language.
