Key Responsibilities

You will deliver end-to-end project and programme management services to clients, working closely with government bodies, international institutions, and prime contractors. Your role involves leading and supporting transformational change, major acquisitions, technology insertions, and in-service support projects, ensuring key outputs and capabilities are delivered to an agreed baseline.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential:

  • Proven experience in project, programme, or portfolio management roles
  • Degree level education or equivalent, with relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ChPP, PMQ, PPQ, PRINCE2, MSP)
  • Strong track record of monitoring projects for time, cost, and quality
  • Experience in the defence sector or military background
  • Ability to deliver quality on projects
  • Effective stakeholder relationship management
  • Supporting teams in dynamic, multi-disciplinary environments
  • Experience with bid processes such as PQQ/ITT/ITN
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and report-writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure
  • Willingness to travel across the UK, mainly South and South-West regions

Desirable:

  • Membership of a professional body (e.g., APM, PMI) and commitment to professional development
  • Experience in consultancy or government client environments
  • Familiarity with Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma frameworks
  • Microsoft Project 2016 and/or Primavera 6 certification
  • Risk management certifications such as MoR or ERM
  • Earned Value Management Foundation or Practitioner certifications

Other Requirements:

  • Existing right to live and work in the UK
  • Ability to undergo BPSS check for site access
  • Current SC clearance or willingness to undergo Security Clearance (SC level), with at least 5 years' UK residency required for SC clearance
