Project Manager / Business Analyst

We are seeking a versatile Project Manager / Business Analyst (hybrid) with a strong background in both business and technology projects, specifically in the banking and financial services sector. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of digital platforms, front and back-office processes and technologies, and will be adept at driving projects in both Waterfall and Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the successful delivery of projects in line with the bank's project management policy and framework, ensuring appropriate governance, communications, change control, and risk management are maintained. This requires experience in the end-to-end project lifecycle.
  • Lead end-to-end project lifecycles ensuring adherence to the bank's project management framework.
  • Collaborate with sponsors to craft key project artefacts throughout all phases.
  • Define, document, and communicate business requirements with stakeholders.
  • Create and present business process models showing current and future states.
  • Address business challenges, ideate, and implement solutions.
  • Manage project scope, plans, budgets, and ensure timely delivery within set parameters.
  • Monitor project expenditures, timescales, and resources; intervene when deviations occur.
  • Uphold stringent project governance, proactively addressing and escalating risks and issues.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure all projects comply with regulatory, legal, and third-party requirements.
  • Oversee system and user testing, ensuring communication accuracy.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Mastery of key project management methodologies and frameworks.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as ClickUp, Jira, and MS Project.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, especially with global teams.
  • Ability to identify patterns and areas for improvement.
  • Experience in driving positive change.

As a Business Analyst:

  • Expertise in business and systems analysis methodologies.
  • Experience with investigative techniques like stakeholder interviews and workshops.
  • Skill in translating analysis into actionable solutions.
  • Proficiency in documenting and managing requirements, and modeling techniques like BPMN and UML.
  • Strong organizational skills and proactive mindset.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in Financial Services/Banking, with exposure to front and back-office functions.
  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst and Project Manager on significant change projects.
  • Proficient with project management applications such as ClickUp and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Desirable: Professional certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., BCS) and Project Management (e.g., Prince2, PMP, APM).

This is a hybrid FTC position for 12 months initially - 3 days in the office in Central London. The salary ranges from circa £80K to £90K. Please send your CV in Word format along with your salary expectations and notice period.
