Job Description

Here at CORUS we are looking for a Project Manager Services Lead to join our team on an international project.


Location: Barcelona or nearby (one day in the office)


Role Objective:

We are looking for a PM Service Lead who will split their time between hands-on project management and leadership of the PM team. Beyond delivering their own projects ( 50% allocation), this role will also coach other PMs, plan capacity, monitor performance, and act as a key problem-solver and escalation point for project issues. The ideal candidate will also support service growth and commercial engagement with internal stakeholders.


Main tasks & responsibilities:

Project Delivery & Oversight:

  • Act as PM on assigned strategic projects, ensuring scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Apply best practices (Scrum, PMI) to achieve successful project execution.
  • Track budgets and financial KPIs for assigned projects and support portfolio-level financial oversight.

People & Capacity Management:

  • Lead and coach a team of PMs, conducting regular 1-1s, capacity and workload reviews.
  • Support PMs in resolving blockers and act as first escalation point to remove obstacles.
  • Anticipate capacity gaps and proactively balance assignments.

Service Development & Client Relations:

  • Engage with senior stakeholders to present PM services, align expectations, and grow our client base.
  • Participate in pre-sales conversations to scope PM service offerings and new engagements.
  • Seek new business opportunities and help develop commercial proposals.

Governance & Standards:

  • Maintain PM service standards and drive continuous process improvements.
  • Implement tools and KPIs to monitor portfolio and team performance (Jira, Confluence, Power BI).
  • Align PMs on methodology best practices (Scrum, PMI), ensuring high quality across the service.


Requeriments:

  • 5+ years of hands-on project management experience.
  • Proven experience leading PMs or teams in a consulting, PMO, or service delivery environment.
  • University degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or similar.
  • Familiarity with capacity planning and financial tracking of project and portfolio budgets.
  • PMI/Scrum certifications (PMP , CSM ) highly desired.
  • Fluent in English - capable of dealing with senior international stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial mindset and proactive problem-solving attitude.
  • Skilled at coaching and mentoring teams.
  • Ability to navigate conflicts and resolve blockers under pressure.
  • Tech-savvy, experienced with tools like Jira, Confluence, Power BI, Excel, MS Project.
