Job Description
Overview

North and West Yorkshire Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (NWYASBAH) is a charity supporting individuals and families affected by spina bifida and hydrocephalus. We aim to enhance support through social opportunities and health outcomes for our members.

The Contract We have a requirement for the following deliverables and outcomes to support the delivery of a National Lottery contract, initially over a 6 month period.

KEY DELIVERABLES AND OUTCOMES Community Engagement & Events
  • Deliver schedule of events.
  • Manage accessibility, safeguarding, risk assessments and feedback in support of events.
  • Member Support & Communication.
  • Act as a point of contact for members seeking information or support.
  • Manage and moderate online groups and WhatsApp communities.
  • Maintain and communicate calendar of events, via newsletter and social media.
  • Review and support the implementation of identified policies for safeguarding, complaints, and data protection policies.
Administration & Reporting
  • Implement and maintain accurate records and reporting for stakeholders, trustees and funders.
  • Track and manage resources and events against budget.
  • Manage finance & fundraising policies.
  • Identify sources of funding and submit applications to fund future work.
Qualifications & Background
  • Understanding of safeguarding and data protection principles.
  • Community engagement and event planning.
  • Use of digital tools (e.g., Zoom, WhatsApp, social media).
  • Experience with disability, health, or social care.
  • Knowledge of spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
  • Experience working with other similar organisations or charities.
Contract details
  • Contract awarded: Based on applications which meet the outlined deliverables and background in the listed areas.
  • Hours: Service delivery to accommodate events and Trustee meetings; some weekends and evenings; hours varied based on monthly requirements/deliverables and budget.
