Project Lead

Role

A well-known council based in London is seeking an experienced Project Lead for a 6-12 month contract to start as soon as possible, paying £600/day inside IR35, with 1-2 days on site per week in London.

Project Overview

The council is driving a 4-year transformation and needs a Project Lead within one of three major workstreams. You will lead 2-3 projects across the workstream, handling early scoping, project definition, or picking up an in-flight project. Projects span across the council, ideally involving adult learning, social care, debt advice or other council directorates, but experience in any council environment with multiple complex workstreams is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Programme Lead, you will drive projects forward to successful delivery. You should liaise and engage with a wide variety of stakeholders, and have a strong track record of driving and delivering projects. You will also be an excellent communicator, rethinking how services are delivered across the council.

Qualifications

Strong experience working across multiple council directorates, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery. Ability to communicate effectively and drive change.
