Here at BJF, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our exciting and expanding construction biased business, where YOU can help support the Facilities Management Team as a Fabric Engineer.

Position

The successful candidate will be working as part of the FM Project Team, responsible for minor refurbishments to clients' properties upon the MOD Estates within the Wiltshire area. Main responsibilities will include:

  • General building fabric repair, painting & decorating, bricklaying, slabbing, fencing, concreting, tiling and plastering, kitchen installations.
  • Competent to assess repairs required with ability to complete works with minimal guidance.
  • Ensure that the site is kept in good decorative order internally and externally - and to give specification and ensure timely completion of project works.
  • Carrying out timber and UVPC door and window installations and general carpentry repairs.
  • Fulfill basic plumbing work.
  • Responsible for proactively approaching health and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • MEWP and PASMA qualifications.
  • Technical knowledge of different building materials and construction methods is preferable.
