Project Execution Manager

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Pattern: 4 days on-site (Monday-Thursday), Work from Home Fridays
Reports To: Senior Leadership
Team Size: 4 Project Managers
Progression: Clear path to Director-level role
Certifications: PRINCE2 (or equivalent) preferred

The Role:

We are looking for a driven and experienced Utilities Project Execution Manager to lead our project delivery team based in Belfast. You'll manage a team of 4 Project Managers, delivering complex electrical monitoring and instrumentation projects to customers in over 60 countries.

This is a high-impact leadership role with strong cross-functional visibility and a direct path to Director-level progression. You'll be responsible for ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of utility-scale projects, working closely with clients, engineering teams, and global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of 4 Project Managers handling international project portfolios.
  • Ensure successful execution of all projects, on time, within budget, and aligned with customer requirements.
  • Oversee Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and participate in on-site delivery coordination as needed.
  • Collaborate across engineering, sales, procurement, and field services to drive project performance.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact throughout the project life cycle.
  • Monitor project risks, budgets, KPIs, and change controls, ensuring full compliance and reporting.
  • Coach and develop the project team; support continuous improvement and team growth.
  • Support business strategy by aligning projects with wider organizational goals.

The Person:

  • Experience in electrical project management or delivery (preferably in T&D, utilities, or switchgear).
  • Proven leadership managing cross-functional teams in a global delivery environment.
  • Comfortable working with instrumentation systems, basic programming tools, and CRM platforms.
  • Strong technical background and ability to lead FATs and customer technical reviews.
  • Excellent communicator, mentor, and decision-maker with a customer-first mindset.
  • PRINCE2 certification (or equivalent project methodology) preferred.
