Who are we?

Within Anglian Water, we collaborate with alliance partners to provide water and water recycling services across the region. We maintain existing assets and undertake new projects to safeguard future water supplies and improve the environment.

Our Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Alliance, comprising Anglian Water, MGroup, Barhale, and Kier, focuses on solutions across water recycling and clean water assets. The alliance works across disciplines including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation, covering new construction, replacement, or repair of assets.

We are seeking a Project Engineer to manage water projects in East Anglia from inception to completion, ensuring standards, regulations, budget, and timelines are met.

What you will be doing as our Project Engineer?

You will develop solutions based on planned and reactive project needs, focusing on whole life cost and business risk reduction, while ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. This role is dynamic and offers opportunities to add value and advance your career.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Project Delivery Manager in delivering Anglian Water projects.
  • Assess solutions, perform root cause analysis, and consider whole life cost and risk reduction using the Risk, Opportunity, and Value process.
  • Develop solutions aligned with governance, safety standards, and legal requirements.
  • Ensure design, programme, cost, and CDM requirements are ready for construction handover.
  • Maintain health & safety, environmental, and quality standards on site.
  • Support asset and cost tracking in corporate systems.
  • Preferably hold APM Project Management (PMQ) or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Preferably hold NEBOSH or NEBOSH Construction certification.
  • Have an engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in capital delivery within the water sector, managing projects with directly employed staff.
  • Manage Construction Design Management Regulations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
