Project Engineer

We are recruiting a Project Engineer to join a leading Pharmaceutical company in the County Waterford area. As the Project Engineer, you will be instrumental in executing a range of GMP facility upgrades and cleanroom construction projects within a highly regulated environment. This is an initially a 12 month contract with likely extension.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Oversee all elements of assigned projects, including schedule, cost, scope, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
2. Act as the GMP and Cleanroom Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with EU GMP Annex 1 and FDA guidelines.
3. Develop, maintain, and track project schedules, identifying and communicating delays.
4. Ensure all works are planned and executed safely under the Safe Systems of Work.

Role requirements

1. Relevant degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or related discipline).
2. Proven industry experience in engineering project delivery within pharmaceutical or biotech GMP environments.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with cleanroom construction, commissioning, and qualification.
