Project Engineer

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer for a client based in Rotterdam, working in the onshore oil & gas industry. The client has a need for an engineer to join them delivering site based capex projects between 200k to 2m€.

The primary focus of the role is to work on upgrades and modifications to mechanical equipment, including pipes, pumps, cooling systems, valves, etc.

The client is flexible with the role, they are ideally looking for the successful candidate to start straight away but can wait up to 2-3 months for a start date.

Project Engineer Specification:

START: ASAP - Can also wait 2-3 months.

LOCATION: Rotterdam

DURATION: 12 months freelance

Essential Skills:

10-15 years' Mechanical or Piping Engineering background preferred, ideally in oil, gas chemical or similar process industry.

Ability to deliver full projects from A-Z, including scope, engineering, budget, planning, to delivery on site.

Knwoledge of pressure equipment directive (PED).

Experience with P&IDs, as-built documentation.

Site based experience, working on sustaining / improvement capex projects.

End client or engineering contractor experience are acceptable.

Dutch speaking preferred, but not essential.

Reporting to the Project Department Manager, this role will primarily full project delivery from A-Z; you will assess the work required in the project, put together engineering package, oversee engineering contractors, budget, plan, arrange delivery of materials and oversee project delivery on site.
