The role involves developing budgets, monitoring project progress, and providing accurate forecasting and reporting to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Develop, monitor, and control project budgets and cost forecasts Track actual costs against planned budgets and identify variances Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial summaries Develop and maintain project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project Perform schedule analysis, including critical path and float analysis Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) to track project performance Support risk management by identifying potential cost and schedule impacts Evaluate and manage changes, variations, and claims Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders Prepare and present project performance reports to management Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field Proven experience in project controls, cost engineering, or planning Strong knowledge of cost control principles and scheduling techniques Proficiency in Excel and project control software tools Familiarity with industry standards and reporting practices Preferred Qualifications Experience in large-scale infrastructure or engineering projects Professional certifications such as: + AACE International (e.g., CCP) + Project Management Institute (e.g., PMP) Experience with contract management and commercial processes Key Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent attention to detail Effective communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Strong organizational and time management skills Benefits include: Pension scheme (8% company contribution / 4% personal contribution) 25 days' paid annual leave + bank holidays + option to buy or sell days Professional fees reimbursed Flexible working Employee referral scheme days a week in LondonWe are committed to equal treatment of candidates and promote, as well as foster all forms of diversity within our company.
