Programme Security Lead

Overview

Salary Range: £66,960 - £97,515. Leonardo UK seeks a Programme Security Officer (PSO) for the Cyber & Security Solutions Division, focusing on Future Combat Air programmes.

Responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for all security domains pertaining to the Programme, advising the Senior Responsible Officer and key stakeholders.
• Identify, measure, record and manage security risks on behalf of the SRO.
• Own key programme security artefacts (Security Management Plan, Security Risk Register).
• Ensure compliance with contractual security requirements, support internal and external security audit activity, and validate third party compliance.
• Provide security reporting for governance boards, KPIs, dashboards, and gate reviews.
• Embed and promote a positive security culture; develop security initiatives aligned with LCSUK/LDOUK policy.
• Collaborate and coordinate with other security functions and act as a leader within the community of Security Officers.
• Manage a team of security SMEs within the Programme.

Qualifications

• Chartership or equivalent level of knowledge in Cyber Security.
• Proven experience in leadership, guiding teams, and influencing senior stakeholders, including C suite and 1 /2 MoD levels.
• Experience managing security risks, audits, and supplier risk assurance.
• Experience working on detachment with allies - ideally Japan and/or Italy.
• Strong communicator, with ability to build consensus in culturally diverse teams.
• Proactive leader, taking ownership of problems and driving solutions.
• Good attitude, willingness to learn, and adaptability to changing schedules.

Security Clearance

Role subject to pre employment screening under the UK Government's Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Additional National Security Vetting may apply, possibly requiring The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
