Your Graduate ProgrammeOur two year programme offers you five placements across your allocated business area, complemented by a choice of placements to suit your personal development needs in core functions such as Finance, Health & Safety, People, and Procurement, enabling you to have a balanced understanding of the business. You'll gain hands on experience, technical and leadership training, and support from mentors, managers, graduate alumni, and our Early in Careers team to support you from the day you make the decision to join us.

Your TeamThe Asset Delivery team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators. Our teams within Asset Delivery work on Projects that not only improve water and waste services for our customers but create a sustainable environment for all. The Asset Delivery team consists of Yorkshire Water colleagues, contract partners, sub contractors and consultants working collaboratively to deliver the majority of the capital programme for the company. Over the next five year period, we anticipate a programme of work in the region of £ 3 billion of investment covering the whole range of water and wastewater assets.
Your roleAs a Graduate - Planner , you will:
- Join our Programme Management Office (PMO), to plan and coordinate projects and activities in P6 for the programme of work you are assigned to
- Create end to end Project and programme baseline, and then measure progress on key milestones
- Provide assurance on schedules submitted by Delivery Partners, ensuring they can be accepted based on the NEC guidelines
- Chair regular scheduling to discuss milestone movement, seeking solutions to mitigate any schedule risk
- Work closely with Project controls lead and wider cost, risk and change management teams to provide a fully integrated performance approach
- Work with key stakeholders, both internal & external, maintaining effective communication, positive relationships, and managed expectations
Minimum 2:1 Bachelors degree Engineering / Relevant Project Management preferred, but all subjects considered
Enthusiasm and a drive to succeed
- A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
Starting salary: £32,000, rising to £37,000 by end of year 2
Extras: £2,000 signing bonus, annual bonus, 25 days holiday + bank holidays + wellness day
Pension: Up to 12% company contribution
