A senior leadership opportunity has arisen for a Programme Director to lead a major improvement programme delivering into the MOD. This role sits at the heart of Defence and National Security delivery and requires a confident leader who can drive delivery excellence, strengthen customer relationships, and set clear strategic direction across complex programmes.

About the Role - Programme Director

• As a Programme Director, you will take overall accountability for programme improvement, delivery performance, and financial control across a major MOD engagement.
• You will lead large multi discipline delivery teams and align internal enabling services to support consistent, high quality outcomes.
• The role includes senior engagement with MOD 1 and 2 star stakeholders, SROs, and wider governance forums at UK and European level.
• You will own programme governance, risk, issues, dependencies, and mitigation planning, ensuring transparency and control at portfolio level.
• One position includes mandatory responsibility for Internal Assurance activity.

What We're Looking For - Programme Director

• Proven experience leading large, complex programmes, ideally at portfolio level.
• Strong senior stakeholder management across internal and external organisations.
• Deep expertise in governance, financial control, risk, and dependency management.
• A resilient leader who performs under pressure and drives pragmatic solutions.
• Experience with GRIP frameworks and strong cultural alignment with Defence environments.

Lead transformation and delivery at scale as a Programme Director on a nationally significant programme.
