Job Description
Team/Role Overview:

This Business Product Manager is a dedicated and strategic professional responsible for the product lifecycle, strategy, and execution of the Citi HR Assist platform, its integration with Workday, and Rapid Development opportunities. The role involves closely following the latest trends in HR technology and across the firm, adapting them to define and deliver innovative product solutions. The Product Manager will collaborate with Technology, Vendors, and subject matter experts across HR, utilising excellent communication and diplomacy to guide, influence, and drive the execution of product roadmaps and strategic initiatives. This position is critical in ensuring that product initiatives meet business needs, optimise HR processes, and leverage AI-enabled future state capabilities, serving as a key synthesis point where Workday intersects with HR Assist and Operating Model & AI Transformation (OMAI).

What you'll do
  • Product Strategy & Vision: Defines and manages the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the HR Assist platform and its Workday integration, ensuring alignment with enterprise HR goals and business priorities. Identifies and evaluates emerging HR technology opportunities, including rapid development tools and AI capabilities.
  • Vendor & Relationship Management: Manages the Workday relationship, vendor contracts, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Coordinates effectively across Workday SMEs and other critical vendors, ensuring optimal performance and value delivery.
  • Product Development & Execution: Leads the end to end product lifecycle from ideation to launch and continuous improvement. Supports the planning, directing, and coordination of daily activities for product initiatives. Translates business needs into actionable product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Defines business outcomes and benefits with measurable KPIs. Supports the planning and execution of releases, upgrades, and feature launches, including backlog management.
  • Efficiency & Innovation: Manages programs aimed at driving efficiency within HR, including the optimisation of Workday Power User Configuration. Acts as a key synthesis point for rapid development of tools across HR, particularly where Workday capabilities intersect with OMAI.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication: Collaborates extensively across HR (Discipline SMEs, Process Owners), Technology, Legal, Data, Risk, and external Vendors to support product implementation. Builds and maintains strong relationships, applying judgment and influence to navigate organisational landscapes and ensure alignment. Maintains clear, transparent communication of product status, issues, and risks to all stakeholders, including HR senior management.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Leads the identification and resolution of product related issues. Directs the identification of risks impacting product delivery and ensures mitigation strategies are developed and executed, escalating to Program Director/Sponsor as appropriate. Ensures adherence to product management processes, procedures, methods, and standards.
  • Change Management: Supports the development and delivery of communications, training, and change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new products and features.
What we'll need from you
  • Solid experience in product management, program delivery, or human resources, with a strong preference for Workday or large enterprise technology platform experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor management, including contract negotiation, SLA management, and KPI tracking.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR processes and enterprise HRIS environments.
  • Proven ability to define product vision, strategy, and roadmaps, translating business needs into actionable requirements.
  • Exceptional communication, problem solving, and stakeholder engagement skills, with proven ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external parties.
  • Critical thinking, commitment to quality, and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently on complex, multi stakeholder products and programs.
  • Familiarity with product management principles, agile methodologies, commercial awareness, and process knowledge across HR disciplines.
  • Ability to appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Education
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
