The Opportunity

Wolviston Management Services are proud to be supporting an innovative and rapidly growing industrial business in the appointment of a Production Technician to join their Technical Operations Team in Middlesbrough.

The Role

As Production Technician, you will play a key role in supporting laboratory and manufacturing activities, assisting with the production, testing and optimisation of innovative pellet products and binding solutions.

Working closely with the Technical Operations Team, Scientists and Senior Leadership, you will support development programmes through hands on manufacturing, process operation, analysis and reporting activities.

This role offers excellent variety and the opportunity to develop technical, operational and process knowledge within an advanced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting laboratory and manufacturing activities
  • Operating process and production equipment safely and efficiently
  • Assisting with product trials, testing and optimisation programmes
  • Carrying out basic physical and chemical analysis activities
  • Recording and updating operational and testing data accurately
  • Supporting equipment preparation, calibration and maintenance activities
  • Maintaining high housekeeping and laboratory standards
  • Handling and organising raw materials and chemicals safely
  • Communicating observations, findings and process improvements effectively
  • Supporting continuous improvement and development activities across the operation
  • Ensuring full compliance with site health, safety and environmental procedures
About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience within manufacturing, laboratory, production, processing or technical operational environments.

You may have experience within:

  • Manufacturing or process operations
  • Laboratory or pilot plant environments
  • Industrial production or chemical processing
  • Materials handling or technical operations
  • Production testing or quality activities

You will also demonstrate:

  • A strong attitude towards health & safety
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive and hands on approach
  • A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
