Job Description
Work Flexibility

Onsite - Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad-hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Hybrid - Role may combine alternate workplace and Stryker facility. Remote - Majority (or all) of time from an alternate workplace, with travel expectations within the country of the job requisition location.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a member of the Stryker Ireland Production Team, executing manufacturing activities in line with Company SOPs and work instructions to achieve desired quality standards.
  • Work in empowered teams delivering on key business performance metrics.
  • Initiate and participate in projects contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Ensure manufacturing activities do not compromise health and safety of employees and visitors.
  • Develop, demonstrate and maintain technical proficiency in relevant manufacturing activities (facilitated through on-site training).
  • Plan, schedule and monitor manufacturing activities in coordination with Production Supervisors.
  • Process product in line with documented Standard Operating Procedures and Work / Process Instructions, ensuring compliance with EHS, GMP, GDP, 5S, and other standards.
  • Promote operational excellence and drive continuous improvement in all manufacturing related activities.
  • Liaise with Production Supervisors and other departments regarding application of manufacturing instructions and quality standards.
  • Monitor business metrics on EHS, Quality and Operations to ensure optimum efficiencies against production plans on a shift/daily and weekly basis.
  • Demonstrate proficiency to meet EHS, Quality and Production requirements/targets and take ownership for resolving issues within the cell/team when possible.
  • Escalate issues that cannot be resolved within the cell/team.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are completed as scheduled.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to cross-train and operate on multiple processes / products as needed.
  • Undertake training, development and validation activities, and facilitate training for trainees as required.
  • Support lean manufacturing processes and continuous improvement initiatives to minimize wastes.
  • Adapt to shifting between cells/teams/work shifts as required to meet business needs.
  • Maintain acceptable levels of work attendance, punctuality, vacation management, and willingness to work overtime when necessary.
  • Demonstrate competent numerical, literacy, mechanical and spatial skills.
  • Model Company Values and site Ideal Behaviours; support basic problem-solving activities in the cell/area as required.
  • Stay updated on on-site communications including email, employee meetings and communication boards.
Qualifications
  • Good verbal reasoning, numeracy and mechanical aptitude skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation and presentation.
  • Previous production work experience is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of GMP requirements is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of computer applications.
  • Ability to inspect products/documentation and use measuring devices; record manufacturing data and alert appropriate persons of deviations.
  • Capability to understand and safely operate relevant equipment.
  • Reporting or correcting unsafe working conditions or practices.
  • CNC Level 2 capability where applicable (in-house training academy).
  • Perform reasonable additional responsibilities as required by Production Supervisors and/or Team/Line Lead.
