Production Operative - Temp to Perm Pertemps are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join our client on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates looking to secure a long-term position within a busy production environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for assembling ignition lead sets to a consistently high standard while meeting required production targets.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble ignition lead sets in line with production specifications.
- Work consistently to required speed and quality standards.
- Take responsibility for the quality of your own work.
- Meet required production output targets.
- Learn and master the assembly of a full range of ignition lead sets, including bespoke and custom sets.
- Select the next order and obtain the relevant production sheet.
- Gather the correct components required for each order.
- Assemble products accurately according to the production specification.
- Carry out quality checks on completed sets.
- Check lengths, indents, fittings, numbers, terminals and powdering.
- Box completed sets neatly to ensure a high-quality finished appearance.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workstation and working area.
- Follow safe working practices at all times.
- The successful candidate will ideally have: Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, assembly or warehouse environment.
- Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
- The ability to follow written instructions and production specifications accurately.
- Good hand-eye coordination and practical skills.
- The ability to work at a consistent pace while maintaining high standards.
- A reliable and hardworking attitude.
- The ability to work independently and take responsibility for the quality of your own work.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple orders.
- A willingness to learn new assembly techniques and processes.
