Production Operative

Brightwork has a great opportunity for Production Operatives to join a busy Fish Processing Factory in Lerwick, Shetland Islands, offering a 6 month contract, consistent hours, and the chance to experience island life while earning.

• Pay rate: £13.45 per hour (guaranteed 40 hours per week)
• Overtime: £20.18 per hour after 40 hours
• Contract length: 6 months
• Travel: Your flight or ferry to and from the island is fully paid
• Accommodation: Quality local accommodation available close to the site

Lerwick is the main town in Shetland, offering a welcoming community with shops, supermarkets, pubs, a cinema and more, making it an ideal location for a short term working adventure.

Your Time at Work

As a General Operative, your duties include:

• Operating processing machinery safely and efficiently
• Cleaning and preparing fish to the required standards
• Grading products to meet customer specifications
• Packing finished goods accurately
• Maintaining high product quality standards
• Following strict hygiene, food safety and health & safety procedures
