JOB TITLE: Production & Resource Manager ABOUT THE ROLE A BRIEF SUMMARY Based at our production centre, WestWorks in White City, the Production & Resource Manager is responsible for managing production and resource requirements for a portfolio of key broadcast clients, ensuring the successful planning and delivery of productions from initial booking through to completion.
This is a highly client-facing role, combining production management, resource planning and operational oversight. You will be responsible for scheduling crew and facilities, managing production logistics, overseeing project budgets and supporting the commercial delivery of client projects. You will act as the day-to-day operational lead for your assigned clients, building trusted relationships and ensuring an exceptional client experience.
Alongside ownership of your client portfolio, you will work collaboratively with the wider Production & Resource Management, Client Account Management and Media Services teams to maximise crew and facility utilisation and ensure the smooth operation of our production centre.
The role supports multiple concurrent productions across studio and remote workflows, requiring excellent organisational skills, commercial awareness and the ability to adapt quickly to changing production requirements.
As this role involves regular interaction with clients, we are looking for someone who is confident, proactive and solutions-focused, with excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Whilst this is primarily a Monday to Friday position, flexibility is essential, as evening and weekend working will occasionally be required to support live productions and client requirements. There will also be opportunities to work on-site to support clients and collaborate closely with the Media Services team on end-to-end productions.
You'll play a key role in delivering world-class productions for some of the industry's leading clients, working alongside an experienced team in one of the UK's most advanced production facilities. WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR Client Management
- Own the operational relationship for a portfolio of assigned clients, acting as the primary point of contact for production planning and delivery.
- Produce schedules for client productions and events, ensuring all logistical requirements are planned and communicated effectively.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, third party suppliers, production companies and event organisers.
- Communicate client requirements clearly across internal departments, ensuring effective collaboration between Coordinators, Client Account Management and Media Services.
- Support live productions by managing crew schedules, responding to operational changes and resolving issues quickly and effectively.
- Ensure every client receives an exceptional experience throughout the planning and delivery of each production.
- Identify opportunities to improve client experience and operational efficiency through continuous process improvement.
- Manage crew scheduling for assigned clients, including both permanent and freelance resource.
- Lead the crewing requirements for larger-scale productions and complex projects.
- Coordinate the engagement, booking and management of freelance crew for any direct or operational roles.
- Ensure all crew and facility bookings are accurately maintained within the scheduling system.
- Work closely with the wider Production & Resource Management team to maximise crew utilisation and facility availability across all clients.
- Support the Client Account Manager with commercial administration and contract management.
- Prepare quotations for productions and maintain accurate project budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor project spend and ensure financial information remains accurate throughout each production.
- Manage purchase orders, project variations and invoicing.
- Highlight commercial risks or opportunities and work with stakeholders to ensure projects remain financially successful.
- Taking on a senior position within the production and resource management team. Providing an initial escalation point for the other managers before going to the General Manager.
- Take a leading role to ensure all production administration document and processes and reviewed and updated regularly. Including but not limited to call sheets, contracts, risk assessments financial documents.
- Work alongside the General Manager to ensure productions comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Chair production meetings and undertake other operational or administrative tasks as required.

- A minimum of seven years' experience in production management, broadcast operations or a related operational role.
- Proven experience managing client relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent productions or projects in a fast paced environment.
- Strong planning, organisational and problem solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
- Commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets, quotations and project costs.
- Excellent administrative skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and production management systems.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to improve processes and contribute to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends when required.
