Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Production Operatives for Howmet Aerospace in Exeter on a long-term basis.

This is a hands-on, physical role within an industrial manufacturing environment. A key part of the position involves using high-pressure water jets to clean and remove casting material from manufactured products, helping to prepare them for the next stage of the production process.

This is not a traditional cleaning role involving offices or amenities. The work forms part of the industrial production process and involves working around manufacturing machinery and equipment, with additional production tasks forming part of the role.

The work can be physically demanding and the environment can involve both hot and cold conditions, making this role suited to people who enjoy practical, active work and are comfortable working in an industrial setting.

What We Offer

• £16.28 per hour.

• £31,746 per year + overtime.

• 37.5 hours per week.

• Overtime available at rates ranging from £18.83-£28.32 per hour, depending on the hours worked.

• Overtime regularly available at weekends.

Key Duties

• Use high-pressure equipment to clean and remove casting material from manufactured products.

• Support industrial production activities as required.

• Work safely around industrial machinery and equipment.

• Follow company procedures and health and safety requirements.

• Maintain a clean and organised working area.

• Work as part of a team while meeting production requirements.

• Complete training and develop new skills within the role.

Shift Pattern

The role operates on a weekly rotating three-shift pattern:

• Week 1: 6am-2pm.

• Week 2: 2pm-10pm.

• Week 3: 10pm-6am.

• The three-week shift pattern then repeats.

• There is no regular weekend work, although overtime is regularly available.

Requirements

• Comfortable carrying out physical, hands-on work.

• Comfortable working within a demanding industrial manufacturing environment.

• Able to work rotating shifts, including nights.

• Safety-conscious and willing to follow procedures.

• Keen to learn and undertake additional training.

• Reliable and committed to long-term employment.
