Product Security Engineer - Contract INSIDE - Hybrid - London

A leading FinTech innovator is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer to drive security across their trading infrastructure, cloud platforms, and business-critical applications. This is a high-impact role where you'll work closely with engineering teams to embed security into every stage of the software development life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage security controls across Windows, Linux, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud).
• Integrate security into product design and development using Python, C++, Rust, Go, and Kotlin/Java.
• Conduct threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, and security code reviews.
• Mentor engineering teams on secure development practices.
• Perform vendor security reviews and third-party risk assessments.
• Integrate SAST/DAST tools into CI/CD pipelines for continuous security monitoring.
• Identify and mitigate security risks in high-performance, low-latency systems.
• Bonus: Experience with Crypto, DeFi, and Smart Contracts.

Requirements

• 7+ years in product security or similar roles.
• Strong background in secure coding and system architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud) in hybrid environments.
• Deep knowledge of threat modelling, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
• Familiarity with both Windows and Linux systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
