The Product team

The Product team shapes the experiences that power Lumon. We turn complex problems into simple, scalable solutions - working closely with sales & dealing, operations and the engineering team to build features our customers love.

Role purpose

This is a high impact role owning a core payments product area. You will shape how customers initiate, route, convert, settle and track payments across borders.

Operating in a fast paced environment, you will combine strategic thinking with hands on delivery to build modern, scalable and resilient payment solutions that differentiate us in the market.

What you'll be doing day to day Own the End to End Payments Lifecycle
  • Lead product strategy across initiation, validation, FX execution, routing, settlement, reconciliation and reporting.
  • Drive innovation in:
    • Real time and instant payment rails
    • Open Banking/Pay by Bank
    • Embedded and API driven payments
    • Multi currency wallets and virtual IBANs
    • Smart routing and payment orchestration
Deliver Exceptional Payment Experiences
  • Act as the voice of the customer across Personal and Business divisions
  • Optimise customer experience in areas such as beneficiary management, bulk payments, approvals and tracking
  • Simplify complex cross border and FX journeys into intuitive digital experiences
Build Secure & Scalable Solutions
  • Partner closely with Engineering to deliver robust, API first infrastructure
  • Own and prioritise a value driven backlog focused on STP, success rates, cost, speed and reliability
  • Support testing and validation to ensure accuracy, compliance and performance
Drive Alignment & Momentum
  • Engage stakeholders across Compliance, Risk, Treasury, Operations and Commercial
  • Communicate progress, risks and trade offs clearly and proactively
  • Stay ahead of market trends, evolving payment rails and regulatory change
What we are looking for
  • Minimum 3+ years Product or Business Analyst experience specifically within Payments at an FX provider, Bank, Fintech or equivalent regulated financial institution (essential)
  • Strong hands on understanding of cross border and domestic payment flow (SWIFT, SEPA, Faster Payments, ACH and local rails)
  • Experience with digital onboarding (KYB/KYC), payment gateways, orchestration or multi currency infrastructure
  • Exposure to API led or embedded finance products
  • Commercial mindset with strong customer focus
  • Comfortable leading in fast paced, scaling environments

  • 30 minute call with our hiring manager (Video)
  • 1 hour onsite interview to meet the hiring manager/team
