Job Title: Product Owner (Long-Term Savings)

We're hiring a Product Owner to lead the ongoing development and management of our long-term savings products, Personal Pension and ISA, within the Retirement Proposition team. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role, responsible for managing the product backlog and pipeline, ensuring our products deliver great customer outcomes and remain competitive in a fast-evolving market.
You'll work closely with other Product Owners and cross-functional teams to deliver a clear, insight-driven roadmap, prioritise initiatives, and ensure regulatory compliance.
You'll be the proposition expert for these products, championing customer and adviser needs, and driving continuous improvement through agile ways of working. A strong commercial focus is also important, ensuring our products deliver sustainable value for both customers and the business.
About the role- Own and manage the product backlog and long-term roadmap for Personal Pension and ISA, using customer insight, data, and market trends to shape priorities.
- Lead the delivery of product enhancements and change initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and customer needs.
- Collaborate with analysts, designers, technology teams, and other Product Owners to deliver high-quality, compliant product developments efficiently.
- Maintain deep product expertise, acting as the go-to expert within the team and across the business.
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen by building robust business cases, tracking costs and benefits, and ensuring developments deliver measurable commercial value.
- Collaborate with other Product Owners to ensure cross-product consistency and a seamless customer experience across the retirement lifecycle.
- Monitor product performance, track benefits, manage budgets and risks, and use data to drive decisions and improvements.
- Ensure all developments meet regulatory requirements, including Consumer Duty and conduct risk.
- Coach and support Proposition Analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance within the team.
- Proven experience in product ownership within financial services, ideally within the adviser market, wealth management, or long-term saving products.
- Strong understanding of agile delivery, backlog management, and product lifecycle.
- Commercially astute, with experience building business cases, managing budgets, and delivering value for money.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence and align diverse teams.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management in financial services.
- Analytical and data-driven, able to measure and articulate the commercial impact of product decisions.
- Tenacious, resilient, and positive, with a clear focus on delivering measurable outcomes for customers and the business.
- Collaborative, with a track record of working effectively with peers to deliver shared goals.
- Skilled in being the voice of the customer and the adviser within large change initiatives, considering impacts and making pragmatic commercial decisions.
