Product Manager, Global Trade

The Product Manager is responsible for developing and refining product content and functionality to establish, enhance, or distinguish our global trade compliance software solutions within the Japan Market. This role requires a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and industry regulations. The Product Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, marketing, and sales, to bring products to life and drive business growth.

Our team is responsible for developing and delivering innovative global trade compliance software solutions to the Japan market. We are a dynamic and collaborative team that values customer obsession, innovation, and teamwork. Our software helps companies navigate the complexities of global trade, ensuring compliance with regulations, mitigating risk, and optimizing supply chain operations.


About the Role

In this opportunity as a Product Manager, you will:

  • Develop strong product intuition by interpreting and assessing customer problems, business needs, and opportunities, and offering potential solutions with a moderate level of guidance and direction.
  • Build world-class capabilities and products by creating a vision for the product and maintaining the product roadmap, partnering closely with dev teams and UX to execute the roadmap and deliver efficiently.
  • Demonstrate leadership by taking extreme ownership for a feature/product, its performance, and reliability, and delighting our clients with a positive experience.
  • Work cross-functionally with segments to refine the business case for new products and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders, including customers, regulators, and industry associations.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Product Manager if you have the following required qualifications:

  • Industry experience preferred, with 2+ years of product management experience in the global trade compliance software industry.
  • Experience with Japan market regulations and remain up to date on changes.
  • Fluent in Japanese and English.
  • Familiarity with global trade compliance software and regulations, such as customs clearance, tariff classification, and supply chain security.
  • Experience speaking at events, engaging customers and regulators, and representing the company in a professional and knowledgeable manner.

Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science preferred or equivalent experience
  • Certified Customs Broker (Gaikoku Boeki Shōnin) or equivalent certification.
