Job Description
Overview

Our mission is to make meaningful learning a part of your everyday. The shelf life of our skills is now less than 5 years. So, if you stopped learning today, your skills would soon be irrelevant. Think that's a big problem? You'd be right.

Enter HowNow. Founded in 2019, our Learning and Skills Platform is disrupting the way people learn and upskill through technology. Whether it's finding a quick answer, learning skills or tapping into shared knowledge, we make it easy for people to learn what they need, when they need it.

Already used by fast-growing scale-ups and global enterprises, such as the UK Government, Investec, and Trainline we're pushing the boundaries of how people learn.

Hi I'm Nelson the CEO and Co Founder at HowNow. I'm looking for a Product Manager to join us.

We're looking for our first UK-based Product Manager, joining a well-established and talented Product team in Mumbai. This is a high-impact role where you'll report directly to the CEO, helping to shape and deliver our product vision as we expand globally. You'll be a bridge between teams, customers, and markets, ensuring that our product strategy continues to deliver value while driving innovation and growth.

At HowNow, we prioritise continuous learning, collaboration, and open decision-making. With a flat hierarchy, every voice is valued, and diverse perspectives are what make us stronger.

We're customer-obsessed, driven to deliver outstanding results while enjoying the journey. Working with a diverse range of customers gives our people exposure to fresh challenges and opportunities to learn every day.

Here, you'll be empowered to take ownership, grow your career, and make a real impact, while embracing innovation and solving complex problems.

And beyond the work, we're a fun, supportive, and friendly team who believe in celebrating the wins together. Day-to-day tasks will include

  • Product Ownership - take responsibility for the product roadmap, user stories, stakeholder buy-in, and prioritisation, always with a focus on solving problems and delivering meaningful outcomes (not just outputs).
  • Data-Driven Innovation - use data and insights to identify opportunities to innovate, improve customer experience, and drive adoption and retention.
  • Delivery & Execution - work autonomously through the backlog, ensuring features are delivered quickly, efficiently, and with a lean, value-driven approach.
  • Performance & Iteration - define key metrics, monitor feature performance after launch, and iterate to continually improve functionality and impact.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - partner with Marketing, Customer Success, and Development teams to take features from idea through to live release.
  • Communication - ensure clear communication of product updates to internal teams and, where relevant, to customers and external stakeholders.

The key things that we will be looking for in applicants

  • Product Management Experience - 3+ years as a Product Manager in a tech company, ideally within B2B SaaS.
  • Entrepreneurial Leadership - ability to inspire and rally teams around solving customer problems, with a hands-on, ownership-driven mindset.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making - skilled in customer event/usage tracking and applying growth frameworks (e.g. AARRR) to drive adoption and retention.
  • Modern Delivery Expertise - strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies, with experience delivering products in fast-paced environments.
  • Critical Thinking - builds hypotheses from first principles, challenges assumptions, and assesses information critically rather than relying on received wisdom.
  • Stakeholder Management - proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional and global teams, aligning product direction with business strategy.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset - deep understanding of customer needs in UK and international markets, ensuring product design prioritises user experience.
  • Regulatory Awareness - familiarity with UK/EU compliance requirements, including data privacy and security considerations.
