What you'll do

As the Product Manager of SmartShop Services, you'll shape the future of our backend, platform, and data outcomes for the Smartshop team. You will drive transformations that redefine our architecture and lead to best-in-practice technology.

Working in agile teams, you'll partner with in-house engineering and key stakeholders, collaborating to realize your vision. You'll influence roadmaps and lead large-scale initiatives that shape Sainsbury's future.

You will be a visionary, working closely with stakeholders to craft our technology vision, make data-driven decisions, and own the Smartshop Services roadmap. With millions of customers using Smartshop annually, understanding how backend innovations benefit customers is essential.

You will also analyze technical needs and develop strategies balancing future readiness and stable BAU performance. Your creative problem-solving and experimentation mindset will help push boundaries and enhance Smartshop services.

What You Need To Do

• Partner with engineers and cross-functional teams to redesign backend services, elevating Smartshop.
• Work within a scrum team to develop resilient technology for in-store experiences.
• Prioritize product opportunities considering value delivery, savings, and technical foundations.
• Continuously evaluate products to ensure they work as intended and deliver value.
• Collaborate across Sainsbury's to define strategy and roadmap, balancing short-term needs with long-term scalability and innovation.
