Product Manager - Payments

Role Overview

• As a Product Manager, within the Banking Consulting Group, the person will be responsible across the stages of the Product Lifecycle - Requirement & product design review, Update Terms and Conditions, Customer onboarding, Customer impact assessment, client communication and manage customer queries post implementation. This person should be a subject matter expert in Payments, domain with 6 - 10 years of experience, having worked on Product Management function. This person will work closely with Client Business, Corporate / Retail customers and internal development team.

Role Responsibilities

• Interacting with across business owners within bank, product development teams, product vendors, other applications owners, external customers and internal customers to identify requirements and deliver those within stipulated timelines.
• Provide content leadership in working with the clients in defining solutions to their business requirements.
• Agree the engagement outcomes for the client.
• Responsible for leading High Level Business & Project Review Meetings for Payments system modernization/transformation.
• Interacting with business stakeholders for requirements review and design.
• Work with the delivery / implementation teams to provide domain inputs and to ensure delivery and implementation of the proposed solution.
• Interacting with the technical team to ensure that the requirements are clear and well understood.
• Translating the design into customer facing document and manage the customer queries.
• Work on Terms & Conditions, Customer impact assessment
• 8+ years of Industry experience, having worked in BFSI domain with a focus on Cards & Payments Domain experience in Low Value Payments (SCT & SEPA Instant), High Value Payments, Cross Border Payments, VISA scheme and key regulations (PSD 2).
• Experience of working on SWIFT ISO messages, Faster Payments Services, Instant Payments
• Good understanding of the global Payments Landscape, associated instruments (Direct Debits/Direct Credits) and key players for both Retail & Wholesale payments
• Should be able to play catalyst role between Client and IT

Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of Payments experience and Product Management
• Expertise in Messaging Schemas, and Message formats
• Experience on Cards & Payments solutions
• Good communication skills with ability to lead domain discussions with BFSI customers
• Engineering + MBA degree is preferred
