Product Manager - Industrial EMEA (m/w/d)

The Product Manager - Industrial (EMEA) will serve as a global co-owner of Cattron's industrial radio remote control portfolio, working in close partnership with the Americas Product Manager. Acting as the voice of the customer in EMEA, this role ensures that regional needs are incorporated into a unified global product strategy. Reporting to the VP of Product Management, the Product Manager will define and execute product strategies in alignment with commercial, engineering, and operational teams to drive global market share, profitability, and product leadership. This role is preferably based in Almelo, the Netherlands, and requires regular on-site presence, with alternative locations possible in Liberec (Czech Republic) or Krefeld (Germany).
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the regional product owner for Industrial Radio Remote Controls in EMEA, representing customer needs, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics.
- Partner with the Americas Product Manager to co-own the global product roadmap, ensuring alignment across regions, functions, and product lifecycle stages.
- Lead the full product lifecycle in EMEA-from market opportunity identification through design, development, launch, growth, and end-of-life.
- Translate Voice of Customer (VoC) insights into regional and global product requirements, championing customer-driven innovation.
- Define product specifications and develop business cases in collaboration with engineering, commercial, and finance teams.
- Manage and optimize regional product line performance, including pricing, profitability, market share, and return on assets.
- Collaborate with global and regional sales teams to establish pricing strategies and ensure appropriate pricing authority.
- Identify and develop new applications and adjacent product opportunities tailored to the EMEA market.
- Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure successful product launches, channel readiness, and post-launch performance tracking.
- Equip sales and channel partners with training and enablement on product features, applications, value propositions, and competitive positioning.
- Provide demand forecasts and market intelligence to support manufacturing planning and supply chain decisions.
- Execute strategic growth initiatives, including market expansion, customer acquisition, and technology adoption.
- Monitor and respond to competitive threats in the region with timely product positioning and tactical adjustments.
- Contribute to global portfolio strategy, including platform unification, modularization, and simplification initiatives across EMEA and the Americas.
- Establish and track product cost, quality, and delivery performance targets aligned with global objectives.
- Ensure compliance with regional safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support the development and execution of marketing communications and promotional strategies tailored to EMEA audiences.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated success in launching and managing industrial control products across the full product lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Voice of Customer (VoC) gathering, market research, and competitive analysis.
- Experience developing and presenting business cases in collaboration with commercial, engineering, and finance stakeholders.
- Proven ability to present to executive leadership and secure board-level approval for strategic initiatives.
- Experience in end-of-life planning, collaborating with supply chain and commercial teams.
- Ability to translate market trends into actionable product strategies through cross-functional collaboration.
- Strategic mindset with an entrepreneurial approach to commercializing innovative product opportunities.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20-30%, primarily within the EMEA region and occasionally worldwide.
Education / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Industrial Technology); an MBA or equivalent business qualification is preferred.
- 5-8 years of product management experience spanning engineering, marketing, sales, or operations.
- Experience working in global and cross-regional product teams.
- Strong preference for experience with RF technologies, IEC safety standards, or industrial control systems.
