The Vacancy
The Product Manager (Cards Commercial) is responsible for working with technology, credit risk, commercial, compliance, and marketing teams to ensure product integrity, efficiency, and market competitiveness.
The role holder is responsible for developing and managing products that meet customer needs while ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk requirements. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and deliver product strategy, enhance features, and drive execution, balancing innovation with operational efficiency and profitability.
The role holder is expected to support product management framework responsibilities including product and journey evaluations and manage these through governance, including strategic recommendations.
Responsibilities:
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with technology, operations, risk, compliance, and marketing teams to maintain product integrity, efficiency, and market competitiveness.
Product Strategy & Optimisation: Define product development opportunities and requirements, oversee configuration changes, and enhance workflows to improve customer experience and operational performance.
Performance Analysis & Innovation: Monitor product performance, identify areas for improvement, and support the development of new initiatives to drive growth and efficiency.
Business & Technical Liaison: Act as the key bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring product enhancements align with customer needs and overall business objectives.
Support product management framework responsibility including product and journey evaluations and manage these through governance.
Experience required:
Understanding of credit card product, lifecycle management, and operational execution.
In-depth knowledge of customer experience, product features, and market trends in the credit card sector, ensuring competitive and customer-centric product offerings.
Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks related to credit card products, ensuring adherence to FCA/PRA guidelines.
Strong business acumen with the ability to balance operational efficiency, risk management, and customer outcomes while driving commercial success.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across technology, operations, risk, compliance, and marketing teams to deliver business objectives.
Ability to work independently, demonstrating sound judgement and a structured approach to product execution and issue resolution.
Understanding of governance, risk controls, and compliance obligations within an FCA/PRA-regulated financial institution.
