Job Description
Product Liability Solicitor - London - Up to £85,000 - REF 941925AF

A well-established law firm is seeking a Product Liability Solicitor to join its London team. The firm acts for insurer clients on complex, high-value product liability and insurance coverage disputes, often involving multi-party litigation and claims exceeding £1million. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor to develop expertise in defendant product liability work while handling high-quality, technically challenging cases alongside senior lawyers.

The Role
  • Manage product liability and insurance coverage cases from instruction to resolution
  • Provide strategic advice on coverage, liability and quantum
  • Draft detailed coverage opinions and legal proceedings
  • Manage disclosure and support litigation strategy
  • Engage in ADR and settlement negotiations
  • Instruct Counsel and experts and analyse technical evidence
  • Attend client meetings, conferences and hearings
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and client service standards
  • Provide strong exposure to high-value, multi-party litigation within a specialist insurance environment
About You
  • Solicitor or Legal Executive with defendant product liability experience
  • Strong understanding of coverage, negligence, breach of contract and Consumer Protection Act claims
  • Experience in insurance litigation preferred
  • Strong drafting, litigation and analytical skills
  • Able to work to deadlines and manage targets effectively
  • Strong organisational and time management ability
  • Confident communicator with insurer clients and senior stakeholders
  • Able to work independently and within a team
