Primary Responsibilities- Define, develop, implement and maintain investment products across their entire lifecycle to optimise and deliver commercially viable products and initiatives.
- Conduct proactive market research, analysis and coordinate new product proposals as required.
- Manage product development and launch, including project managing and socialising fund launches with all relevant stakeholders across Barings.
- Assist with structuring, documentation and financial modelling of new and existing funds.
- Serve as subject matter expert for fund commercial terms and mechanics (investor subscription, redemption, liquidity terms, ESG guidelines, etc.).
- Maintain technical expertise and understanding of evolving regulatory frameworks, and proactively propose efficient responses to changes.
- Shepherd all product launches through Barings governance process.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners (Client Portfolio Managers, Legal, Compliance, Sales, Operations, Investment, Finance, Risk, external counsel, fund administrators, service providers, investors) to champion cross team collaboration and ensure effective coordination.
- Act as primary investment team representative to internal business partners regarding product level activity (fund economics and investment restrictions).
- Research and socialise product trends and innovations, focusing on fund economics and mechanics.
- At least 4 years of experience working with private funds/assets (private credit, real estate, and/or infrastructure debt).
- Practical knowledge of AIFMD, UCITS, and European fund range product strategy, development and management - ideally global.
- CFA, CAIA or another recognised financial or accounting qualification.
- Highly organised, numerate, with strong attention to detail and excellent project management skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Clear communicator, both verbally and in writing, for a range of internal and external audiences and at various seniority levels.
