The Role

We are hiring for Product Development & Quality Control, based in Florence, Italy. You will be responsible for developing and delivering uncompromising quality across handbags & accessories and jewelry. You'll collaborate closely with design, development, production, operations, suppliers, and the founding team to bring our vision to life - with integrity, precision, and speed.

This role demands extreme self-motivation and the ability to operate independently, while being deeply collaborative. You must thrive under pressure, take initiative without being asked, and handle whatever task is needed - whether or not it falls within a traditional job description.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development from sketch through final production across handbags & accessories, hardware, and jewelry
• Conduct hands-on quality control - ensure every piece meets our highest standards of craftsmanship, function, and finish from initial product development through production
• Source, test, and iterate materials and techniques - using the finest sustainable materials available, a mix of organic, recycled, and innovative biomaterials
• Own specifications, prototyping, sampling, and supplier communications
• Bring respect, humility, curiosity, positivity, integrity, and a team-first mentality with internal team and partners - relationships are everything
• Operate across departments as needed - from production prep to logistics to material R&D
• Meet tight deadlines with speed, calm, and precision

You Are

• Based in Florence, Italy
• Highly experienced in product development and quality control and has hands-on technical knowledge for making high-end luxury handbags. (minimum 3-5 years recommended in luxury goods, leather goods, jewelry, and/or hardware)
• A perfectionist when it comes to craftsmanship and detail - quality is not negotiable
• Obsessed with solving problems and getting things done proactively - fast, clean, and right
• Capable of taking direction clearly - and following through fully, without hand-holding
• Receptive to feedback and eager to grow - no defensiveness, just drive
• Equally capable of leading a sample review or jumping in to pack boxes if needed
• Humble, self-driven, collaborative - someone people want to work with
• Driven by purpose and passion - not titles, status, or comfort
• Able to work across time zones and communicate clearly, consistently, and respectfully
• Fluent in English and Italian (spoken and written) - no exceptions
• Must have a car and be willing to be on the go - you'll be visiting suppliers and partners on-site daily
