Product Design Lead

London: Hybrid in office 2 days per week.

In this role, you will:

Lead product design on our consumer growth team and work closely with a global team of product managers, product & brand designers, engineers and data scientists to define strategy and drive the future of OpenTable's customer experience. Build impactful experiences that delight customers and drive business value.

The Product Design Lead will:

build experiences that evolve and develop new features while balancing the needs of our diners, restaurants, and the business; collaborate with other designers across research, ideation, prototyping, testing, and visual design; and mentor a small product design team as part of our UX leadership.

You put people at the center of everything you do-you're motivated by crafting impactful product strategies and user experiences and helping designers grow.

You also:

• Excel at translating sophisticated workflows into elegant and accessible user experiences
• Navigate all stages of the design process, from research and insights to building, testing prototypes, delivering polished visual design, and partnering with product managers and engineers to implement UX
• Value continuous improvement for yourself, your team, and your products
• Seek and incorporate direction from senior team members; stay curious about the latest design trends and methodologies
• Lead projects or product areas independently while remaining open to feedback and coaching
• Drive collaboration between partner teams and be a strong teammate
• Actively contribute to group conversations, facilitate working sessions, and help shape decisions
• Utilize a broad toolbox of design methods and know when to apply them to move work forward
• Show a portfolio demonstrating problem-solving, visual design, and interaction design across web and mobile platforms
• Demonstrate experience on global products in large-scale, product-led environments across iOS, Android, and responsive web
• Experience mentoring designers and strong communication and storytelling skills
