About the Role

As part of the Distribution team, you will join a very collaborative and professional group. You will understand the team's broader goals and how your work plays a vital role in our success. Here, you will be able to gain broad knowledge within the financial world related to asset classes including Fixed Income, Commodities, and Equities. This is a position as a first line of support for the main Feed product of S&P Global Market Intelligence Group, Xpressfeed. It involves learning about each of the data packages that we support, using foundational accounting and finance knowledge alongside SQL and technical skills in order to reply to our clients' questions. You will live the S&P Global purpose and values, seeking connections to your day to day work while generating new ideas and thinking outside the box.

The Impact

You will contribute to the team and company in a substantial way by answering client queries while showcasing your growing knowledge of our tools, data and the industry we cover. You will integrate into a group with high expectations and can expect to have a significant impact by producing high-quality output and meeting specific timelines. Your position is critical as it is the link between the end user and our products. Combining an expertise in our products with a deep understanding of who our clients are and how they use our tools, you will act as a consultant providing the best and most efficient ways for our clients to achieve quality results. You will also take the initiative to provide support to the team and pay close attention to detail to identify potential issues early.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding data feed products by applying your skills to situations where the output is clearly defined.
  • Improve technical expertise in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), MS Excel, and SQL to become more resourceful and solution oriented.
  • Provide professional, timely, and quality support for feed based products, always looking for ways to improve quality.
  • Record and track client issues accurately in the Client Relationship Management system.
  • Document solutions and product updates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address client concerns, improvement requests and sales leads, seeking ways to work with others and contribute outside of your given tasks.
  • Stay updated on existing and new product offerings while assessing the urgency of tasks allocated to you.
  • All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
What We're Looking For Basic Required Qualifications
  • 0-2 years of working experience.
  • High proficiency in another European language (German, French, or Spanish).
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience with Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Foundational knowledge of corporate accounting statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
  • Team player mentality and adaptability to dynamic environments, with the emotional intelligence to understand how your own behaviour impacts different situations.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • All candidates who reach the final stage must attend at least one in person interview at your nearest S&P Global office before an offer can be made.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of investments (private equity, public equity, fixed income, ETFs, mutual funds, commodities).
  • Familiarity with Capital IQ Platform/Products.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL.
