Job Description

Product Assurance Engineer (EEE Parts Focus)

Location: Chelmsford, Essex (Hybrid working considered)

Are you experienced in Product or Quality Assurance with a strong understanding of EEE (Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical) parts and materials? If so, a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a highly respected engineering organisation supplying custom imaging sensors and electronics to the aerospace and space industries.

You'll support engineering, procurement, and the selection of high-reliability components, ensuring quality is built into every stage of the development life cycle. You'll help lead Parts Control Boards, manage declared component lists, and maintain key external project databases such as ESA Eclipse.

This is a critical role supporting world-leading projects for major clients such as NASA and ESA, offering exceptional career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the selection and approval of EEE components.

  • Generate and review project documentation (eg, Declared Component Lists, PADs).

  • Maintain project information in external databases like ESA Eclipse.

  • Drive quality through root cause analysis, corrective action, and non-conformance management.

  • Engage with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers to ensure compliance.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven background in Product/Quality Assurance (ideally within Space, Aerospace or Defence sectors).

  • Strong knowledge of EEE parts, materials, and reliability assurance processes.

  • Good technical understanding of electro-mechanical assemblies (electronics/software experience a plus).

  • Structured problem-solving skills using formal quality methodologies (eg, FMEA, 8D, RCA).

  • HND/Degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
